I had to pay in advance of the survey and once the survey was conducted, I had to wait for 6 working days before receiving the report. The Survey Report made up for the wait as it was very detailed and contained many photographs of the issues identified. The long list of costs to make the property right assisted me in budgeting and which I raised with the seller. The roof photographs taken by a drone were very good, listing the issues with the roof and chimney, as well as stains visible in the joints of the guttering. I am pleased with the report and had a half hour consultation with the surveyor who informed me in the detail the issues and answering questions that I had in mind. After the report was ready, he took more time to go through all my questions in a follow-up call. He explained what everything meant, what the options were, how serious or not various things were. It was so helpful and gave us a lot of peace of mind that we weren't biting off more than we could chew, plus a small laundry list of touch-ups that we'll need to do as and when we take ownership! He was responsive and kind throughout, and I'd happily recommend him / Surveying People. They weren't the cheapest option we were quoted, but my partner and I really feel like we got excellent value for money with this service.
